The Nufabrx Pillowcase is a product that originally caught our attention with its name – Nufabrx Pillowcase for Blemish Prone Skin. “For blemish prone skin”? That sounds like something we should investigate! So we did! As it turns out this product is actually recommended by dermatologists as it is specifically engineered to promote blemish repair! Including those caused by acne. It goes further than that though, helping to stop acne at the source!

We found the Nufabrx Pillowcase extremely soft, as it is 220 bamboo thread count, equivalent to about 500 cotton thread count. Very nice to sleep on! The product is specifically designed with the fact in mind – sleeping on a dirty pillowcase WILL cause acne! Its bamboo fibers are infused with natural skin remedies to create a spa-quality, anti-microbial, hypoallergenic pillowcase. All you have to worry about is, as they state, “indulging in a worry-free aromatherapeutic rest”.

It’s interesting to note that a pillowcase actually comes with listed ingredients – Lavender, lemon balm, tea tree oil, wintergreen oil. It’s not common to see on a product which you intend to sleep on, though maybe it would be better for everyone’s skin, if we did 😀 – The side effect of these ingredients is a strong aroma when you first open the product, some people even choose to give theirs a wash first, to soften the scent a bit. Though, the scent is a good reminder of the piece of mind you bought the Nufabrx Pillowcase for!

It is very affordable and comes neatly wrapped in a cute little container. We have included the care instructions:

Care Instructions and Tips
– Wash on cold, normal setting.
– Tumble dry on low heat, remove immediately.
– Do not iron.
– As with all natural fabrics some shrinking and wrinkling may occur after washing.
– Replace every 4-6 months.

The Norwex Makeup Removal Cloth is another great product made by the Norwex company. This small 20cm x 20 cm cloth is a fantastic alternative to removing makeup as opposed to rubbing chemicals and foreign substances on your face.

While we have previously reviewed the Norwex Wash Cloths as a great place to rest your face while you sleep, the Norwex Makeup Removal Cloth serves a different purpose. A very specific purpose – getting your skin clean. At the end of the day it is very important to cleanse your skin and remove all the dirt and grease that gets embedded in your pores and causes breakouts. Norwex Makeup Removal Cloth allows you to do this with just water. It’s unique suede material feels gentle, yet works as an abrasive to get you clean.

We love the Norwex Makeup Removal Cloth and consider it a great addition in the constant battle against acne. It’s reuseable quality also makes you feel good about not creating additional trash, or disposing of chemicals into our waterways.

While the general consensus among people who had tried the Norwex Makeup Removal Cloth was positive, it was also reported mascara was difficult to remove without aggressive rubbing. The mattress protector uses hypoallergenic performance fabric, as well as being antibacterial. While we recommend always keeping clean sheets and a frequently a changed Anti-Acne Towel, the mattress protector itself is a nice added layer of cleanliness.

The Natural Comfort Mattress Protector has a great durability and long life. Through our ~15 washes, it is still in great shape. Not pilling, or tearing. The product does not make any crinkle noise, nor has at lost any of its shape. It is easy to put on the mattress and allows for a deep mattress depth.

While the Natural Comfort Mattress Protector is a great addition to your bed and net gain in terms of hygiene, it is hard to measure it’s success in the battle against acne. It sits below your Anti-Acne Towel, pillow, sheets, and any other bedding you may sleep on top of. Though, we find it helps knowing we are sleeping on something so clean!

The Microfiber Towel by ECOdept

The Microfiber Towel works surprisingly well, as an Anti-Acne Towel. We have been testing the Large Microfiber Towel by ECOdept, and found its antibacterial qualities and ability to absorb plenty of moisture very beneficial to our skin.

To us, we found it’s basically like a quick swappable Original Hygenie. Very effective at keeping skin clean throughout the night. But the Microfiber Towel by ECOdept has the benefit of being swapped in the morning, with another one, quickly and easily. Of course, this means it’s necessary to purchase more than one. At Least it comes in three colors!

Sleeping on microfibre is also subjective. Some people don’t like the feeling of microfibre on their skin, regardless of the benefits. We’d consider purchasing a single item to see if it works for you. If you don’t like sleeping on it, you can always use it for it’s intended purpose as an activity towel/gym towel!
